At my core I'm a builder. I love to create, reinvent, design and write.
I am never more satisfied than when I look at something that my hands have made and know that it would not exist without me. This can be as small as a room I am redecorating--taking down old wall paper is much more challenging than I ever imagined--or it can be as massive as helping rebuild houses in New Orleans and West Virginia.
I love the perspective I gain when I see how much time is needed to complete a specific task. I view teaching as requiring the same skills. I'm molding, shaping, building, renovating lives instead of walls.
I created Active Handprint in order to allow for transformative experiences through service, mentoring and individualized instruction.
